The Bio Spicule protocol comes in three variants — you'll pick the right one for your skin at consultation:

What are spicules? Spicules are microscopic structures found in sponges — part of the skeleton that gives the sponge its shape (we have them in our bones too). The spicules used in this treatment are so tiny they're invisible to the naked eye — less than a third the diameter of a hair follicle.

What happens during your treatment

  1. Skin is cleansed.
  2. A cream containing the spicules is massaged in. As they work into the skin, they create thousands of micro-channels — a controlled injury that activates the skin's repair system and stimulates collagen and elastin production.
  3. A soothing mask is applied.
  4. Skin is cleansed again.
  5. Your therapist walks you through the 7-day home-care routine (included in the price).

Home care included:

  • Days 1–3: Cleanse with sterile water; apply Dr Spicule home care daily.
  • Days 4–7: Cleanse with a gentle cleanser, use Dr Spicule home care, apply SPF.

Everyone's skin is a little different, but this is the typical rhythm of a Bio Spicule treatment.

    Redness and tightness

    Redness, tingling, and a tightening sensation — similar to sunburn.

    Day 2

    Redness starts settling

    Redness reduces. Skin can feel prickly when touched.

    Day 3–4

    Peeling begins

    Prickling stops. Skin can appear darker; most people begin to peel. Some experience slight itching.

    Persistent peeling — a sign your skin is renewing.
